Revelation of the Cross - The Law of Love and Sacrifice

When you open your heart and somebody spits into it, do not hurry to close it and lock it. When you want to share your heart, but hear only cynical laughter or just silence, do not hurry to turn away and build high walls around yourself. When you offer pearls to people, but hear only pigs grunting, do not curse your pearls swear-ing that you will never show anything to anyone again.

To hide is a natural response. It is an instinct of self preserving. It is a human desire to protect ourselves from cutting with human words and looks, again and again. But there is another law that is stronger than the instincts. It is the law of love and sacri-fice.
He was beaten. He suffered. He was humiliated, but He was silent. He was hurt, but He did not complain.
Why? Why did He not leave the cross? Why did He ask the Father to forgive His murderers?

When the nails were hammered into His kind hands, He opened them even wider…. Here we can find the answer to our countless “whys”…
When you bless those who insult you, when you give your warmth and love to those who coldly hate and ignore you, the whole spiritual world is amazed – they see an-other hero, who changes the existing order of things with his or her sacrifice.

This is the law of sacrifice that breaks the rules, softens hard hearts, turns laughter of sinners into tears of repentance. That’s the love that puts Roman centurions on their knees making them cry out “Truly, this was the Son of God!”

This is the standard of His children, the standard of the Mountain sermon. And if you are facing the decision “to love or not to love”, listen to the quiet and tender voice: “Love. Keep loving. If you give out this sacrifice, I will give out so much grace, that even your enemies will change. For they are also people, and they have souls…”

The stronger the pain, the more valuable the sacrifice. The more sacrifice, the bigger the fire. The bigger the fire, the faster melts the ice… somebody is to begin to LOVE!!! Christ was the first to love us, so love the people around you!
Christ is risen – He is alive and He can do His mighty work for us, in us and through us! Praise Him!!!

May the Lord bless you! Christ is risen!
